Ladies 5ths' vs Hazel Grove

 5th's come out on top vs. Hazelgrove


Team:- Margaret O'Loughlin, Denise Murphy, Norah Mullins, Peggy Mooney and Angela O'Donoghue.

8.30a.m. day of match. Norah texted her esteemed Captain Evelyn to inform her that she was unable to play due to ill-health. Prior to this Evelyn was feeling quitely confident about her team, and in a relaxed state as she was not due to play. All of a sudden she started to feel slightly unwell and wanted to go and join Norah who told her to get lost as she had cried off first!!

Category 5, along with their extremely able caddies (Vera Healy, Sheila O'Donoghue, Anne Rogers and Pat ((a Friend of Margaret)) set off, nervous but determined, to get a result for their club. The match was against Hazelgrove, who had won numerous titles over the past few years in this competition. Played in Grange Castle which was in excellent condition, Dublin City Category 5 managed to win 3-0 calling in the other 2 games who were winning at the time. Each player played extremely well and reported that all matches were played in the best of golfing spirits!

Next round is due to be played 15th May (Evelyn's Birthday!!!!) in Bodenstown at 1.30.

Margaret and Peggy will not be available but we are fortunate to have a very strong panel and will have a very competitive team on the day.
