Ladies 4th's vs. Slade Valley
Minor Team in AA Matchplay wins against Slade Valley.
 
Congratulations to Clodagh Finnerty and her team of players (Elaine Hartigan,Grace Sinnott,Deirdre Kelly, Pauline Scully & Lady Captain Theresa Walsh) who successfully brought the Minor Team (handicap's 23 - 29) through the second round of the AA Interclub Matchplay in Kilcock on 15th. May.  Despite gruelling conditions, both underfoot and overhead water wise, the Dublin City team won 3 -2 against a very tough Slade Valley side. Elaine's match went to the 19th and fortunately she was completely oblivious to the fact the all hung on the outcome! Casually sauntering back up the fairway, she wondered what the commotion was on the first tee box as anxious team members on both sides waited to hear the final match result!  Many thanks also to the caddies ( Ciaran Doherty, Jean McMahon & Clodagh Finnerty)who came in support of the team.
 
The Minor team now goes on to play Hazel Grove G.C. next Monday in Lucan and good luck to Grace Sinnott, Deirdre Kelly, Pauine Scully, Ger Lynch and Elaine Hartigan and sub Denise Murphy.
 
Also playing on Lucan on Monday against Slade Valley is our category Five team,  Jane Burke , Angela O'Donoghue, Norah Mullins, Peggy Mooney and Leonie Colgan. Wishing them and their team manager, Ev O'Sullivan all the very best.
