Well done Ladies...
Congratulations to the Dublin City Ladies who won the inaugural Lisheen Cup for Golf Clubs in the South Dublin area. 

The Lisheen Competition is hosted by South Dublin County Golf Club and the ladies followed in the footsteps fo the men, who won the inaugural Lisheen Cup for Men last year.

The team consisted of Karen O Donnell, Tricia Nolan, Grace O Neill, Esme Murphy, Leonie Colgan, Evelyn O Sullivan, Clodagh Finnerty and Janet McKenna.

The Format for the competition was a four ball better ball competion with each person playing off 3/4 of their handicap.  The team met early on Sunday morning for breakfast in Dublin City Golf Club before departing for each of the courses we would play on.

Esme and Leonie had the home gig, having won the Ladies Fourball Competition there the day before, and being a confident and strong paring at home.  Tricia and Janet played in South County, Karen and Evelyn played in Ballinscorney and Grace and Clodagh played in Slade Valley. 

All of the teams played well with 3 of the teams finishing with the most points in their venue and one of the teams finishing second.  The team won the prize by a clear 4 shots with 142 points from Slade Valley who came in with 138 points

Well done one and all in winning the first team trophy for the ladies section of Dublin City Golf Club.  We anticipate that there's lots more to follow....
