First win of the Season for Ladies Teams.

The ladies section had their first win of the season with a win over Boystown in the Miele All Ireland Foursomes competition.  This is the first time that Dublin City had the requisite number of players within the handicap area to enter this competition.

In order to psych ourselves up for our first time outing, 6 of the 8 on the panel went on warm weather training/team-building in Portugal on the week beforehand to acclimatise ourselves to the fast greens and "non-placing" in Dublin City and Boystown.  It certainly paid off....

Grace and Joan had a fine win on the 12th in Dublin City with Karen and Elaine following them in on the 16th.  Esme and Brigid had a great win away from home on the 16th with Kathleen  and Tricia being called home!

Well done to all on a fine win in our first outing in this prestigious competition.  We play South Dublin County away in the next round.

A special congratulations to our Captain Esme and Manager Leonie who looked after the team in such a professional and organised manner.   Leonie makes the "BEST SANDWICHES EVER".
