Another win for Ladies in Miele Foursomes

The ladies Miele foursomes team had another great win in the Miele Championships, this time over South County on Sunday 29th April.

This was the teams second outing in this competition and it was obvious that they were much more comfortable with the format this time round as they recorded a convincing victory over South County, despite conceding lots of shots.

This round saw some new pairings, going out together for the first time but they played like they had being playing together for years. Esme and Elaine had a fine victory away from home on the 14th. They were followed quickly by Karen and Tricia on the 15th - again away for home. These 2 pairings were playing together for the first time and conceding lots of shots so it was a particularly fine performance by the away teams...

The established pairings were at home with Joan and Grace winning on the 16th at home and Brigid and Kathleen being called home.

Our next round is against Newlands. The date is to be confirmed but it looks to be around 13th May...

Well done again to Esme and Leonie who showed remarkable maturity and bravery in changing a winning team to make it even more effective.
