Twas the night before Sunday

and all through the club

Not a creature was stirring

Not even the sub!

 

The team were preparing

to play hazelgrove

and get to the semi's

with something to prove

 

Sunday dawned brightly

with sunshine and showers

The course looked real good

It even had flowers!

 

The team gathered early

To meet over lunch

We felt we could do it

We just had a hunch.

 

Karen and Tricia

were first to the tee

Unlucky to loose

on the 16th by 3

 

Esme and Elaine

Did their job as before

Won on the 13th by Seven

what a score

 

Grace and Joan

took the Grove by storm

and won on the 18th

Sure it's become just the norm

 

Sheila and Kathleen

Went down on 16

but our difference was greater

so we won - what a team!
