The points awarded are 1^st – 20, 2^nd – 18, 3^rd - 16, 4^th – 14, 5^th – 12, 6^th - 10, 7^th - 9

8^th – 8 pts and so on down to 15^th place who receives 1 point.

The winner will be the player finishing with the highest number of points after the last major (October Medal). In the event of a tie, the finishing positions of the tied players will be decided by their results in the Captain’s Prize and if still tied, on count back (best performance) in the October Medal back to April until a winner emerges.

Performances in Club Matchplay Championships will no longer count for GOTY points.
