Golfer of the Year

This competition has already commenced and all members are automatically entered. This year, the Golfer of the Year will be based on performances in the 10 major competitions with points awarded to golfers finishing in the top 15 places.

The points awarded are 1st – 20, 2nd – 18, 3rd - 16, 4th – 14, 5th – 12, 6th - 10, 7th - 9

8th – 8 pts and so on down to 15th place who receives 1 point.

The winner will be the player finishing with the highest number of points after the last major (October Medal). In the event of a tie, the finishing positions of the tied players will be decided by their results in the Captain’s Prize and if still tied, on count back (best performance) in the October Medal back to April until a winner emerges.

Performances in Club Matchplay Championships will no longer count for GOTY points.
